rockets red glare
I know there's a lot of basketball still to be played, but is there any way Adelman doesn't get Coach of the Year? Pretty phenomenal.
Also, has there ever in NBA history been four 50-win teams in the same division? I'm guessing not. (Poor Memphis.) Dallas: fourth in the division and seventh in the conference ... with a .652 winning percentage?!

I think Adelman is probably the best choice at this point, but what if the Rockets lose a bunch of games once the streak breaks and then make the playoffs only as a 6 or 7 seed or something? Not unlikely in the competitive West. Still, he's the man right now.
How seriously do people take the Rockets? Are they a title contender?

I guess I am begrudgingly coming around to them seriously. Beat the Gasol-less Lakers pretty good today. And the have been CRUSHING folks.
Let's the Rockets fare against the C's. I say the streak is over.

Yes, beginning with the Cs this week will be tough for the Rockets. Celtics Hornets Warriors Suns. They will be tired by the end of the week when they have to run with Golden State and Phoenix. I can't believe they made it to number 1 though!

Yeah, you guys are right. The Rockets probably aren't going to win all the rest of their games and finish the season with a 38-game winning streak. They suck.
(But no, I don't think they're a title contender. I think they could have a hard time getting out of the first round, depending on matchups.)
