Shaq as a Celtic
I have loved Shaq for years.
Which is crazy because I have hated Shaq for years.
I have also been on record as saying in his oldness, he makes his team worse.
But given length of Perk's recuperation (All-start break), and the addition of old friend Jermaine O'Neal, I think Shaq might be able to help out Boston with limited stints. His team defense sucks, and that will be an issue. But he and Jermaine give Boston an ample combo to pair with KG and Big Baby for the regular season. He is essentially filling Shelden Williams role. Plus, if the Chief likes it, so do I.

I agree Shaq will be a decent fill-in, and may have a little bit left in the Diesel tank. C's may even make him better at D than Phoenix, who knows? I love H.Abbot's Truehoop bet about who will help their team more this year, Shaq or Darko, and although Darko can't necessarily board or score, my heart wants to side with Henry on this one. My gut? It just hurts.

I have to take the Team Darko side of the truehoop bet, but I'm still pleased with the Daddy in green. I actually like what Danny did this off-season, even if I think the chances it winds up in a title are pretty small: you take one more shot at it this year, there's a lockout in 2011-12 and then basically everyone but Rondo & Perk is a free agent and you start over.
