The Blazers or the Knicks? Wow, both teams, incredibly bad. This isn't the right year to win the lottery anyway, although maybe there will be another Michael Olowokandi for Zeke to draft.
The Knicks don't even get any benefit from tanking, since Zeke in his wisdom included gave this year's pick to the Bulls for the right to overpay Eddy Curry.
Meanwhile, the Wolves have to finish in the bottom ten to keep their pick, otherwise it goes to the Clippers to complete the atrocious Sam/Marko deal. I'm not sure if I'd really want a pick in this year's lottery. I think Noah will be an NBA player (though he can't shoot at all yet), I like Brandon Roy, Marcus Williams looks like he can play, and that's about it. Yuck.
MeWolves point out one evil of the Eddy Curry trade... but the worst offense was not to give away this year's pick. It was to provide Chicago the right to swap picks with the Knicks next year. What does that mean? No shot at Greg Oden. Criminal.
The Blazers are not tanking. . . they just suck. Despite Pryzbilla's comments about guys packing it in, this team is trying to win games. But their talent level is JV. I love Juan Dixon, but as a starting two?
Oddly, Theo Ratliff's injuries over they year has hurt Portland. Portland is 18-28 with Theo and 3-25 without the fragile shot blocker.

So, should the Wolves try to win, and give away their pick now to avoid doing so in 2010?
