My Royfriend’s Back and your gonna be on trouble

Brandon Roy’s miraculous return to the court today completely changed the composition of the series. No more clamping down on Miller and Aldridge when BRoy is on the floor. LaMarcus had a huge game in his own right, but Brandon impacts the game by just be in uniform. Phoenix is a really good team, but aside from six quarters in Game 2 and 3, Portland has been able to dictate pace against the high flying Suns all season long. Roy’s return opens up Portland’s offense in ways the Suns cannot resolve. Nic Batum, who is coming on like a hurricane, seems to have recovered fro his strained shoulder. I think Portland is taking this one.

And how bout Durantula and the OKC kids beating up on the suddenly vulnerable Lakers? The Kobster is old and injured! I love it! Lakers may still pull this out, but the reign of the spoiled rotten prince seems to be drawing to a close. Meanwhile, in walks Kevin Durant. . .

Orlando is rolling. Right now they seem to be the team to beat. Atlanta would do well to snap out of whatever fog lead to the Game 3 let down. Giving this resilient Bucks team life is a dangerous prospect for an Atlanta team still more associated with potential than success.

  • Yeah, wow! I love it when a playoffs come together. Was fortunate to meet the Jones/Levs for the P-P game, and it was fun math watching Josh help Madeleine count the widening spread between the two scores at the end. LaMarcus!

Results in OKC were a pleasant surprise too. This team is good - good to see them live up to their talent. The more behind the Lakers get the more Ron Ron will struggle as he tried to nail the big 3s. OKC must've been buoyed by the home crowd and came up very big in transition. Good to see Harden finally getting some points.

Jeff Green's shooting is still suspect. If he starts to connect, look out! OKC seems like a pretty good rebounding team. Westbrook, the little big man gets more than his share, and Durant had like 19 in game 3. Holy crap! Lakers probably squeeze out a game 5 vic, but if they can't get more out of Bynum and Pau, Fakers beware!

  • Have had very little opportunity to tune into the playoffs this year, what with the life changes and all, but I can report this: happiness is hearing Laker fans squirm on the sports talk. I'm keeping my eye on the OKC gang.

Now if the Wings can just get through to the next round...
