My Historic St. Paul Evening

Craziness - the 25 minute walk to the end of the line was the wildest part. It was exhilarating to see so many, many people waiting in line for Barack, even when they didn't have a chance of getting in. Along with 17,000 others, I did manage to get in, with 2 minutes to spare. (15,000 watched from outside.) A great night.

  • Wow, so much to write on the MB board but I don't want to knock this post off the top so I'll wait a bit longer. Funny thing, Jenny, I thought you might be there and kept looking for you in the crowd shots. Hope you yelled for Obama louder than you yelled even for KG in blue and green.

  • All right! Glad you got in! Jen Facciani and I were in line, but didn't make it. I hate lines -- but we still had a blast.

Where we got in, it was about 2 blocks BEHIND the end of the red line on this graphic....so it was over 1.5 miles.

We went to Matty B's and all the Obama people outvoted the two Twins fans half-watching the game on the projection screen. I hope for the same overwhelming majority in November!
